Luca Clario – Business Development Manager at CrestOptics
With a degree in medical biotechnology and extensive experience in the microscopy industry, Luca is a member of the Sales and Marketing team. Before joining CrestOptics, he gained a wealth of experience in label-free and fluorescence live imaging and also as a reseller of Electron Microscopes. Since 2021, he is contributing to CrestOptics expansion as a Business Developer for spinning disk and super-resolution product lines. With his in-depth knowledge in distribution management and product development, he is responsible for overseeing the distribution of CrestOptics’ products EMEA countries and ensuring to meet customer needs and support the company’s mission of providing innovative and cutting-edge technology.
Balázs Érdi – Product and Application Specialist at TissueGnostics
Érdi Balázs did his PhD in molecular cell biology of autophagy in Budapest, where he gained experience in various microscopy imaging modalities. He then moved to Vienna to utilize his knowledge to plan and execute microscopy based genetic screens and detailed phenotypical characterization in two well-renowned labs and in a core facility. He recently left academia to strengthen the international team at TissueGnostics, Vienna as a Product and Application Specialist. He is a proud father of three wonderful kids.
Jingyu An – Doctor of Medicine at Heidelberg University
Jingyu An began his career as a surgeon in China before earning his Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Heidelberg in 2023. He currently works as a postdoctoral researcher at the university’s affiliated hospital, focusing on pancreatic cancer. For over five years, he has been dedicated to research in 3D preclinical models, particularly in generating patient-derived organoids (PDOs). His work aims to advance personalized treatment strategies for cancer patients, with some of his research contributing to clinical trials. A key part of his studies involves using fluorescence scanning to explore the connections between disease traits and genetic factors.
