Abstract
Spinning disk technology revolutionized confocal microscopy by enabling high-speed image acquisition while minimizing photobleaching, making it particularly well-suited for live-cell imaging. While various implementations exist, a key distinction lies in the use of single-disk versus double-disk configurations. CrestOptics has strategically designed a single-disk system optimized for high-content imaging, overcoming common limitations traditionally associated with this approach. By addressing the evolving demands of research, CrestOptics’ single-disk technology delivers a powerful combination of speed, efficiency, and adaptability, redefining the standards of high-content confocal imaging. This technical note outlines the features of CrestOptics’ spinning disk technology and highlights its advantages in achieving outstanding imaging performance across diverse applications.
