CrestOptics is an Italian company specialized in advanced microscopy and imaging solutions. We design and manufacture high-end spinning disk systems used daily in research labs, hospitals, and pharma/biotech worldwide.
We are looking for a Senior Field Application Specialist based in Shanghai, supporting customers, distributors and partners across China and APAC. The employment contract for this position will be issued by our local Employer of Record in China.
You will cooperate closely with both APAC Business Development Managers, one of whom is also based in Shanghai.
What you will actually do:
acquire images on CrestOptics systems and perform post-processing analysis
run technical demos (remote and on-site) for customers and distributors
train distributors on demo execution and technical procedures
support distributors with troubleshooting and system optimization
contribute imaging and scientific content for our website and social media
support workshops, customer seminars, and attend relevant trade shows and scientific events in the region
Travel expectation: minimum 50%.
What you need for success:
BSc or MSc in Biology, Biotechnology, or related Life Sciences
hands-on experience with fluorescence microscopy
good spoken and written English and Mandarin
ability to cooperate with different teams and external partners
willingness to travel frequently across China and APAC
Technical nice to have:
experience with image analysis software
experience in sample preparation for high-resolution microscopy
previous technical support experience with scientific instruments
