Description

Ultra-large field of view (FOV) up to 25 mm

The first confocal system with a 25 mm FOV on single and dual cameras. The ultra-large FOV allows the capture of more data or a full organism in a single frame and reduces the number of tiles necessary to cover very large specimens, speeding up research discoveries.

Uniform illumination over the entire FOV

Retrieving uniform signal is essential for accurate quantitative imaging and seamless stitching of large samples, thus generating robust datasets. Thanks to the use of a microlens array placed directly inside the illuminator, the X-Light V3 provides homogeneous illumination over the entire 25 mm FOV.

Revolutionise your imaging

Ready to accept a second camera, the X-Light V3 goes beyond standard imaging. With the capability of hosting two equal cameras to perform fast dual-colour simultaneous imaging or two different cameras for different applications, it provides the highest flexibility to meet an extensive variety of imaging requirements. Still with a 25 mm FOV.

Highest spinning disk rotation for fast imaging

Speed is essential to carry out advanced imaging experiments efficiently. The X-Light V3 offers an achievable acquisition speed of over 1000 fps thanks to the highest disk speed rotation in the market (15.000 rpm) and synchronization to the camera as a default feature.

Disk box – sealed, motorized, tailored

Excellent imaging comes from excellent design: the X-Light V3 disk box has unique features to ensure high-end performance in every circumstance. 

Fully sealed: isolation and protection from environmental dust are essential to prevent undesired artefacts due to the presence of dust particles on disk surface.

Motorized disk box: move between widefield and confocal imaging with a simple click from the software.

Illumination shaping

A software-controlled square iris can be used to illuminate only a small portion of the FOV making the X-Light V3 suitable for photo-activation and bleaching experiments.

Broad fluorophores choice

The X-Light V3 offers the maximum flexibility in fluorophore choice, providing a broad wavelength range from 405 nm to 750 nm excitation. Many applications benefit from this, such as spatial transcriptomics and multiplexed imaging that gather information from multiple cellular markers.

Upgradable to Super-Resolution on the same set-up

The X-Light V3 can be effortlessly upgraded to super-resolution by integrating DeepSIM, allowing researchers to seamlessly enhance their imaging capabilities from widefield to confocal to super-resolution.
